Summary

This is the second edition of World Press Trends that contains reports on every country and territory in the world where newspapers are published. In addition to the 232 country reports, WPT includes a wealth of summaries that provide a detailed global picture of the newspaper world.

This edition has been again expanded with the following data and information:

- Glossary of newspaper industry terms and expressions used in tables within country reports

- Year when a top-10 daily newspaper was founded

- More data about numbers of online editions; if these data are missing in a country report of a major market, it usually means that almost all daily newspapers in that country have established their online editions (websites)

- Summaries of national/regional daily newspapers, including data on numbers of titles and circulations

- Commentary about every country and territory, including a broader and more complete overview of other media, especially the Internet and broadcast

- VAT standard rates for more than 200 countries and territories
